Details

A French trade violin of the Mirecourt school. The label is anti-dated to 1810 but it is clearly of the late nineteenth century. A typically crisp French violin exhibiting fine workmanship and a lovely golden brown varnish.

It has a clear warm sound, very melodic, with a powerful, rich lower register and excellent sound articulation. its full, vibrant tone lends it well to playing legato and gives it good carrying power.
