It is sometimes hard to define a precise area of origin, but build characteristics lead us to that area of north eastern Germany and onwards to Bohemia. The one piece back and top plates are generously covered in a rich, clear, amber coloured varnish.

It produces a very beautiful, colourful tone, resonant and deep with a fast response and this is apparent at even the highest positions and highest registers. With rich overtones response, good balance across the strings and with lots of character, it’s easy on the ear and exciting to play.
