Francesco Maurizi

1850, Appignano, Italy

This 19th century Italian violin bearing the original label, is modelled after Amati. With moderate arching, warm brown varnish and charming, if obviously quick, work it has a broad range of tone colour, sweetness and power, making it a particularly versatile instrument.

It is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity of J & A Beare, London.
